Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Magis
Magis Officina Low Chair

Magis Officina Low Chair
With its wrought iron frame and precise dimensions, the Magis Officina Low Chair puts a minimalist twist on the idea of generous lounge seating. Its designers chose a production method based on the ancient craft techniques to achieve detailing that is "imperfect, lively, and close to drawing." Available in galvanized finish or painted black, the chair's legs are made of iron rods that are heated, then bent, pressed, or joined where needed. A gently curved seat and backrest, available in plywood or upholstered, complete the form.

"What is really essential for a designer is to have empathy."
